Competion for Speculators

The Finnish social development represents rather well the development of the humanity, except that the country is not so overpopulated. However, the Finns with hard work have been able to do a lot of damage in the nature. There are 300 000 hunters who are willing to kill nearly everything that moves , sometimes even  their families and also himself. There are manners here like in America, why Finland  is sometimes called as the 51st state of the United States. Honestly, a lot of good progress has been made, considering that the Finns are the largest population living in the Arctic area.

A thousand years ago the Finns ( Soome) and the Lapps ( Saame) inhabited here side by side hunting, fishing , gathering of other natural ingredients and reindeer herding. Only in the south-western Finland, in the region of Turku , agriculture was developed , which led to a gradual transition to private ownership. Otherwise It was a tribal system, such as in Africa and in the Arab countries, partly even today.

Then came the Swedish Roman Catholic invaders from the west and the Orthodox Novgorod (Rusi), and later the Russians from the east. In between the Finns have to stay alive for nearly 900 years. Initially the Swedes had the power and Finland was connected to its subsidiary. Roman Catholicism was followed by Lutheranism. The Finns lived under  the Swedish king and the nobility. There is still a lot left of this time, among others the obligatory Swedish language at school.

Then from 1809 Finland changed to the Grand Duke of Russia. Only then started to become an independent Finland: got its own written language , currency, government agencies and under the cover of the Russian duty-free trade the capitalism began to develop.

Elsewhere in the world this era typically represents the status of the colonies, but the Finns have always had a strong mind of their own. We used to own before Christianity the natural faith of Kalevala, free will to walk in nature, its own language, which is completely different from the Swedish , Russian and other Indo-European languages .

So we had a hundred years ago a strong desire for independence, when it developed in Africa only half a century ago. One hundred years ago, Finland was still one of the most underdeveloped countries in the world , where under oppression people starved to death. In 1918, Finland had a bloody civil war compared with its population. Although the bourgeoisie and the landlord class won, it was the beginning of the working class improving its status. However, Finland was forced into the suction of  Nazi Germany, so that the country could build the Nordic welfare state for decades after the others.

At that point, Finland was similar to those Asian, African, South American and Eastern European countries to the present, where the people are now ready to go to wealthier countries for a bigger bread. The crowd went first to America and then later to Sweden. Today, the Finnish right-wing petty bourgeois wish to combat this stage of development, when we should accept here people in a similar position .

Finland's economic boom and a welfare society construction began as late as in the 1970-80 's, when the left-wing parties were able to properly influence legislation (such as the Public Health Act and the Primary School Act) . Then the Finnish economy that was still quite safeguarded in the free market economy, for example, in Northern Finland rose heavy industry, universities and the standard of living.

At that time appeared  a new feature in the Finnish economy, which is now on a global scale common: competition for speculators . In Finland, it was a competition between the municipalities: construction of industrial plants , awarded grants and guaranteed loans. When an entrepreneur had used up all the benefits, he quietly faded from the municipality and left empty factory halls and a large number of  unemployed people. Now the same is happening all over the world.

Capitalists have a delicious position to choose the best places for their production where the organization of the working-class and the protection of nature are not a barrier. In addition, the  local farmers with their tiny parcels  can be swept away. If the circumstances change for them uncomfortable, they can move elsewhere. The exploited accumulated capital can be transferred to countries where it is treated favourably disposed.

Karl Marx's Capital by the theories of capitalist exploitation is  literally true , but the environmental damage is much higher than Marx could have imagined. Workers live and work in appalling and dangerous conditions, as in the Southeastern Asia. In India there is water and climate-polluting chemical and pharmaceutical industry, but  it is the same in other parts of Asia, Africa and South America.

In the hunter and pastoral community the land was jointly owned , but along the agriculture it was shifted to private ownership. This was the case also in Finland, and still in Africa and in Brazil to a large extent. Some  American capitalists travel all over negotiating with corrupt governments about that the land should be  transferred to their position, so they could set up a monoculture (corn , palm , eucalyptus), or to open a mine. In Finland, too,  some international mining companies do what they will without paying proper compensation.

Then we started to move to a right-wing liberal free market economy by releasing the borrowing. The money was available in abundance , but the interest rates were in the clouds (17%). At that point, the policy began to turn to a right-wing policy in general . It meant disaster for the Finnish economy. The number of unemployed is still 300 000, the unemployment rate more than ten per cent. Finland has suffered two deep recessions in recent decades , both when the Minister of Finance was from the right-wing Liberal National Coalition Party, in 1991 engineer Iiro Viinanen and in 2008 Master of Social Sciences ( Political Science ), Jyrki Katainen. The current Minister of Finance is a social democratic Master of Education Jutta Urpilainen. Finland tends, therefore, to choose for the finance minister a politician who does not have any proper knowledge in economics! The best in my time has succeeded the bank manager Ahti Pekkala .

Then we come to the time of the European Union since 1995. At that time, the Finnish politicians and government officials lost their direction completely and freaked out. Behind was the history: 700 years of the Swedish king , led by imperialism , a hundred years under the rule of the Tsar of Russia , after the independence, Nazi Germany's companion , and then listened to Moscow. The independence was hardly reached when the people began already to take orders from Brussels and instructions from Washington.

The MOT program of the Broadcasting Company of Finland strengthened my understanding that the European Union was born under circumstances when the United States was acting as a godfather. After World War II in Europe the shared Marshall Plan aid was so conditional that Europe starts to become united in the North American way and it will be against the Soviet- led communism. It also implies that the countries join the NATO. The aim of the U.S. is a free trade agreement, with which and by means of its lawyer army it  it could rule over the European market . Oh, unsuspecting European liberal bourgeoisie!

But how do you go against the U.S. imperialism , which has been all around the world for nearly two centuries, destroying societies, killing the leaders and  penetrating the states economies? According to the right-wing non-socialist view, it should not be resisted but to open the doors to the free market economy - came through the door no matter what.

Since 1995, the Finnish legislation has been quite in a stir when the European Union directives have been matched with Finnish laws. This issue is probably the duty of a legion of jurist youngsters, members of the right-wing liberal National Coalition trained in the USA. Finland's Minister for EU Affairs and Foreign Trade Alexander Stubb and Minister for Economic Affairs Jan Vapaavuori are typical examples of Finnish politicians of USA- mania.

When I was a civil servant at this time, I had to acknowledge that the eagerness of legislators take into a free market economy in Finland has been higher than their  legal competence: the first-class quality was aimed, but it didn't pan out right. For example, the Public Transport Act and Act on Public Contracts for 2010 include such intellectual openings that allow the entry of international speculators' crowd to Finland.

The professional readiness to handle international financial crimes in the Finnish criminal legislation, as well as in the police and the judiciary organisation, are poor , while the time goes in treatment of clashes of drunk people and their kiosk robberies. Also, the tax authorities are behind the times and offences can be statute-barred. These things should be in condition before the doors are opened to international speculation.

Recently, I experienced a positive surprise, when the tax authorities were woken up less than in ten years to operate against the Danish brewery Carlsberg in a cheat of tax fraud. Profiteers and cheats you'll find even in Scandinavia. Carlsberg had bought the Sinebrychoff brewery. It founded a branch company in Finland to manage the "debt interest costs" of the deal. Coincidentally, Carlsberg's " interest costs" were exactly the same as the company taxes for the Sinebrychoff brewery earlier, 36 million euros!

Public Transport Act forces the bus services to free competition. It has already spawned some consequences. A large part of family companies has already given up on their activities and the action has shifted to e.g. Koiviston Auto (a big Finnish Bus Company). A special speculator is Onnibus Company. It hoard for itself quickly a large number of lines. The long lines it has already sold to a Scottish speculator. Now the company is in the District Court by a number of sub-contractors . A shady business is characterized by production of threading so far that muddies the responsibilities involved . This is particularly  typical in the construction industry.

Now, the right-wing bourgeoisie calls for rail and taxi to the free market economy. No need to go farther than to Sweden and England in order to get to know what it means in practice. Once in Stockholm it could  be one of the Middle East missile at the wheel, which left me along the side of the road, while he did not know where the address was. Is that what we want to Finland?

Finland is also a proper country for drug pushers . Finland's best drug expert police have already been half a year in custody. Welcome to come here into the fair country of bureaucracy!

Whole its time in the EU Finland listed as one of the world's best entrepreneurial countries. Yet here is not just been crowded . The banker Björn Wahlroos packed up hundreds of millions of euros in his valise and moved to Sweden . There he should just build a partition in his Scrooge container, because it is not suitable to confuse the valuable euros and the poor Swedish kronor.

Even the current rectal government of Jyrki Katainen is very kind to the world's business-life. As a  Minister of Finance Katainen received an EU recognition for the operation of a free market economy. The same would belong also to Jutta Urpilainen , who against the decision of her party granted almost from her own pocket the extra four tax rate reduction of corporate income tax. So welcome to Finland , the speculators!

In the forthcoming European Union's representative elections , I think accurately to vote for a candidate opposing  to a free market economy and working for the Nordic social market economy view. The election exam revealed an inaccuracy in the line of the "True" Finns when the candidate opposed to the privatization of the railways , but at the same time accused the EU of a free market economy slowing-down. Take it out!
